ancillary task - poster analysis
For one of my two ancillary tasks, I have chosen to produce a movie poster advertising my film.
To get a better feel for the type of conventions used us movie posers of my genre I have analysed a few and below are these analysis

zombie film posters
A common feature on every one of the 10 posters above is that they all contain the colour red. This could be representative of the danger posed by the zombies or could represent the blood that is also typical of zombie films. Another thing is that most of the text that spells out the movies title is in block capitals. This is the same for a lot of movie posters, not just for zombie films. The movie title is also often put near the bottom of the poster with a few exceptions. Most of the posters feature a picture of a zombie and a person or just a zombie
I also need details of the film, e.g., actors, director, producer etc. a website if there is on is usually put on and all the involve company's logos.
After looking at these posters, I know that on my poster I have to include 1 or more images representing the film itself as well as the title of the film. I will probably have 1 or 2 pictures including at least 1 person and at least 1 zombie. I will have red, black or white text.

I can’t film when it’s raining so looking at the weather report for this week the safest times to film will be Thursday and Friday
